Design Consultations

Good design decisions made early save time, money, and the frustration of undoing choices made in a hurry. Our consultations give you a structured, expert conversation about your home — and a clear, actionable brief to build from.

What's included

  • In-depth discussion of your goals, taste, and how you use the space
  • Honest assessment of what is realistic within your budget and property
  • Colour palette and material direction suited to the home and its light
  • Layout and flow recommendations
  • Phasing plan so work can proceed in a logical, cost-effective order
  • Written summary with recommendations you can share with any contractor

Our approach

We come to your home, look at the space properly, and listen before we offer a single opinion. The consultation is a conversation, not a presentation — we want to understand how you live so that every recommendation is grounded in your reality, not a generic ideal.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get at the end of a consultation?

A clear written summary covering our key recommendations — colour and material direction, layout suggestions, and a phasing plan. It is designed to be useful whether you proceed with us or take the brief elsewhere.

Do I have to use True Renovations for the build work afterwards?

Not at all. A consultation stands on its own merits. Many clients use the brief to tender work or manage trades themselves. Of course, we are here if you would like us to take it further.

How far in advance should I book a consultation?

The earlier the better — ideally before you have made any firm decisions. A consultation is most valuable when it can shape the project, not validate choices already set in motion.
